DAY 1 - Zambia /South Luangwa

As you will be entering Zambia, a single entry visa will be required and is obtainable at the point of entry at a cost of USD 50.00 per person, payable in cash. The visa fee is subject to change at the discretion of the Zambian Government.


Depart by scheduled light aircraft transfer from Lusaka Airport to Mfuwe Airport. The flying time is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Upon arrival, transfer to Chichele Presidential Lodge. This historic property, once the bush retreat of President Kenneth Kaunda, has a magnificent hilltop location in Zambia's premier game viewing area, the South Luangwa National Park. Its long terrace, with commanding views across the valleys of the South Luangwa, is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or afternoon tea. Chichele has ten air-conditioned suites, each with French doors onto individual balconies overlooking the valley. The lodge is accessible all year around and the ideal base for exploring the prolific wildlife that populates the mosaic of different habitats surrounding the Luangwa River.

The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy one of the game viewing activities on offer.

DAY 2: South Luangwa

Today is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer.

Game drives in the lodge's customized 4x4 vehicles by day or night, are an ideal way to explore the South Luangwa - an area famed for its frequent leopard sightings. This is also an excellent area to spot lion, elephant, packs of wild dog and endemic species such as the Thornicroft giraffe and Cookson's wildebeest.

This part of Zambia is also renowned for being the original home of the walking safari. A stay at Chichele also offers the chance to venture out on foot with a Zambian professional guide and qualified park ranger to learn about the bush from a different perspective, up close and personal with the environment.

DAY 3: South Luangwa

Today is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer.

DAY 4: Livingstone

Time permitting enjoy a morning game viewing activity. After breakfast you will be transferred to the Mfuwe airstrip. The transfer time will be confirmed to you locally by the camp management.

Depart by scheduled light aircraft transfer from Mfuwe Airport to Livingstone Airport via Lusaka Airport. The flying time is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.

On arrival at Livingstone Airport please clear customs and immigration and collect your luggage. Proceed through into the Arrivals Hall, where a representative will meet and transfer you to Sussi & Chuma. The transfer time is approximately 30 minutes.

Sussi & Chuma is named after David Livingstone's faithful companions and consists of an intimate lodge and two exclusive houses, both of which are situated to make the most of the amazing views that the sweeping Zambezi River provides.

The central lodge building features a raised bar/lounge deck, open air dining area, swimming pool and a spa which provide incredible views of the mighty Zambezi.

The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy an activity on offer.

DAY 5 : Livingstone

The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer.

Activities offered at the lodge include game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, where guests can see a variety of game, including white rhino, elephant, buffalo and giraffe.

Tours of the incredible Victoria Falls, a World Heritage Site, are another must as they give guests an opportunity to experience one of the seven great natural wonders of the world.

DAY 6: Livingstone - Johannesburg

After breakfast this morning you will be transferred by a camp manager to the Livingstone airport for a flight to Johannesburg. The transfer time is approximately 30 minutes.

On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, a representative will meet and assist you with check-in for your onward flight.
